Loveology

Moriah Doomsday

Notes

So we made our own computer
Out of macaroni pieces
And it did our thinking while we lived our lives
It counted up our feelings
And divided them up even
And it called that calculation perfect love
‘The Calculation’ -Regina Spektor

Notes

Outside the cars are beeping out a song just in your honour.
And although they do not know it,
all mankind are now your brothers.
And thus the cathedral had spoken, wishing well to all the sinners.
And with a sigh grew silent.
Until next year’s big human winner.
“Human of the Year” Regina Spektor

Notes

There’s too many things that I haven’t done yet
There’s too many sunsets, I haven’t seen
You can’t waste the day wishing it’d slow down
You would’ve thought by now, I’d have learned something
-Sara Bareilles.

Human of the Year.’ Regina Spektor.

Perhaps I am a little Regina Spektor crazy, but her music is just so beautiful from the lyrics to the simplest chords that she plays. I find her truly inspirational.

Notes

“She said losing love,

is like a window on your heart,

Everybody sees you’re blown apart,

Everybody sees the wind blow.”

Paul Simon, Graceland.

Trying to make something with meaning, is always a lot harder than it seems. I’m trying to create something worth while and it is all so unsuccessful. I struggle to figure out where my future is going to take me, all the paths seem foggy and unclear. Not only that, but there are forks in the road, at every turn, at every chance. This was not explained in my youth. So instead of focusing too much on the future, for the present I record my past until it unfolds into my future. Thus being why I’m changing this blog from pointless elephant photos to my now ‘Loveology” blog, which many of you may recognize as a title of a Regina Spektor song. And on that , that song, this blog let me say this; I think its rather interesting that the scenario of that song is assumed to be a classroom, although ‘loveology’ is clearly not something you learn in school, perhaps she was insinuating things like loveology, kissology, stayology,  pleaseology, forgive-me-ology, are lessons we all have to learn, but are never explicitly taught.
